FUTURE FORCE WA

Future Force WA 2
Future Force WA 3

Get ready to be part of something big.

Future Force WA is where students, veterans, and educators connect with the real opportunities shaping Australia’s defence future.

Built around IODS 2026 and aligned with the WA Defence and Defence Industry Strategy 2025, this careers program isn’t just about gaining information - it’s about opening doors to real careers and creating pathways that matter.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Inspiration for the future workforce - discover pathways in STEM, trades, and advanced technologies.
  • Support for veterans – explore meaningful new roles in defence industry and beyond.
  • Empowerment for educators – access resources and connections to guide the next generation.

Future Force WA is designed to enable the growth of a skilled, diverse workforce - delivering career awareness campaigns, capability-building initiatives, and inclusive pathways. This is powered by partnerships with Defence, Defence West, DPC, DVA, local government, education providers, and industry.

With WA leading the charge in defence capability, through submarine readiness, GWEO, shipbuilding, and AUKUS Pillars I & II - Future Force WA is the place to see, touch, and experience the future of defence careers.

This is more than a program - it’s a launchpad for the people who will build and protect Australia’s future.

The Careers Program delivers three tailored streams:

Veteran Workforce Transition

Supporting transition and retention through insights, networking, and direct industry engagement.

Educator Professional Development

Equipping teachers, career practitioners, and workforce leaders with the tools to guide students into defence careers.

Future Ready: Careers Program

Inspiring secondary and tertiary students through hands-on experiences, exhibition engagement, and direct connections with ADF and industry.
