PROGRAM

The Indian Ocean Defence & Security 2024 conference program is under development, with input from the Perth USAsia Centre and other organisations with expertise in the field.

The theme, Where AUKUS Meets The Quad, will unpack the challenges and potential benefits of an unprecedented era of alliance and cooperation with our partners in the region. It will focus on what AUKUS and the Quad partnership mean for Australia’s diplomatic, strategic and industrial future.

• Vice Admiral Jonathan Mead, AO, RAN, Director General of the Australian Submarine Agency
• Vice Admiral Sir Nick Hine, KCB, Babcock Managing Director – AUKUS & International, and former Royal Navy
• Mr Eric Chewning, HII Group Executive Vice President, Strategy & Development
• Dr Lynn Kuok, Senior Fellow for Asia-Pacific Security at the International Institute for Strategic Studies
• Amb. Sujan R. Chinoy, Director General of the Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (MP-IDSA)
• Admiral Gary Roughead, Former Chief of Naval Operations, the senior officer in the US Navy
